Omorto, the little village with about 2,000 residents, lost in the vast region of The Gambia, so far away from everything, thanks all donors and sponsors in advance for their generous support for
the realization of our school project.
We assure you, that our intensions for this project are honest and reputable. Our project has been developed from the initiators and helpers with big ambitions and a huge engagement. Please check

We try to run the school project JINGANA with as little bureaucracy and administrative burden as possible to achieve a large direct benefit. Therefore, the charitable organization "JINGANA -
omorto school project" was founded. The individual project objectives and our time horizon can be found on the Schedule page.
The targets with deadlines are:
- Definition of the project structures to 01/10/2001
- Fundraising to 04/07/2011
- Start of construction work in Omorto on 01/01/2011
- End of construction works until 01/11/2011
- Recruitment of teachers to 01/11/2011
- Start the school year in January 2012
The fundraising is done exclusively by donations, contributions from sponsors, funds from special operations and events and the membership dues of our association. The residents of Omorto
contribute through participation in the construction of the school and preparing their children to the school year.
The project group has:
- a huge motivation to rebuild the school in Omorto
- the necessary contacts in Omorto to monitor the project
- a Swiss manager, who supervises the work for months on site
- a bank account at the UBS bank in Switzerland
